Pullman Reef Hotel Casino in Cairns will welcome Adrian Williams as General Manager from 2 March 2009.

Adrian has held a variety of senior management positions with Accor, most recently overseeing the Formule 1 brand as its General Manager nationally. Prior to this, he was General Manager of the Mercure Grosvenor Hotel in Adelaide during which time he was also Mercure brand Manager nationally.

Adrian says, “I am very excited about this opportunity to work with the Pullman brand as it grows and establishes itself in the Australian market.”

“Pullman is one of the great names in hospitality, best known for its association with the luxurious railway carriages that changed the face of overnight accommodation and dining on trains in America, the UK and Europe in the 19th and 20th centuries.

“Now, I’m looking forward to guiding the Pullman brand in Cairns as it aims to set a new pace in the corporate and meetings travel markets for Tropical North Queensland.

Accor is using the upscale Pullman name as part of a global roll-out of the new brand that will see the brand growing to some 300 hotels by 2015.

Situated in the heart of the city, overlooking Trinity Inlet the five-star Pullman Reef Hotel Casino is the most prestigious accommodation and entertainment complex in Cairns with the hotel featuring 128 rooms and suites with indulgent Jacuzzis-style spa baths and private garden balconies.

The complex offers the boutique-style Reef Casino and Cairns Wildlife Dome, which provides visitors with the opportunity of seeing Australia’s wildlife in a picturesque setting. There are a variety of restaurant options, including the award winning restaurant ‘Tamarind’, which offers Asian fusion cuisine in a stylish setting.

The hotel’s business focus is complemented with a dedicated conference floor refurbished in 2007, and offering a range of pre and post event venues and six different venue spaces to host groups up to 1,000 people. In addition, conference clients have access to two uniquely themed venues, a large exhibition area and access to the hotel’s cabaret night club.
