Beachfront Hotel Upgrades Rooms, Dining, and Meetings

The historic British Colonial Hilton Nassau has embarked on a $15 million renovation campaign covering all 288 guestrooms, public areas, and banquet space. The makeover campaign kicked off late 2008 and is expected to be complete by June 2009.

All guestrooms, including 47 executive floor rooms and 23 suites, will be transformed with a clean contemporary design that also pays tribute to the hotel’s rich history. Standard guestrooms will be outfitted with new bedding accessories, 32” high-definition LCD televisions, marble floors, soft furnishings, and new lighting. All executive floor rooms and suites will also be upgraded with soft furnishings and special amenities such as 37” high-definition LCD televisions. In addition, suites will offer Nespresso coffee machines. 120 rooms will be completed by early February 2009, with the remaining rooms to be finished by May 2009.

Executive Floor guests will enjoy exclusive access to a new executive lounge. The spacious lounge has been relocated to the top floor, offering spectacular panoramic views over Nassau harbor. The space is 50% larger than the previous lounge and features new facilities such as complimentary computer work stations, WiFi Internet access, self-service kitchenette with all day refreshments, and large screen televisions.

Meeting facilities will also be expanded with the new Windsor Room and Sir Milo Butler Boardroom, providing 3,000 square feet of additional event space. These additions will bring the total meetings space to 17,840 square feet. Existing meeting rooms will be upgraded to feature Hilton Meetings®, the brand’s innovative solution for the small business meeting market. The refurbished rooms will feature a range of improved options including electronic key access, mini-fridge, safety deposit box, automatic ceiling screen, and stationary kit, among others. And, a dedicated Hilton Meetings staff helps ensure every meeting is productive and successful.

Dining options will be upgraded in 2009 with a new bar, restaurant, and lounge concept, due to debut before the summer.
