After having signed an agreement for the entry of Sator with a 40%, the Baglioni Hotels Collection continues to expand with the acquisition from January 1st, 2009 of the Relais Santa Croce in Florence.
Situated right in the heart of Florence in the historic Palazzo Ciofi - Jacometti which dates back to 1700, the Relais Santa Croce is one of the finest hotels in the city and is the ideal destination for those looking for an environment that evokes the intimacy of a private residence.
The recent restoration of the palazzo has returned the building to its original splendour and the hotel is now complete and decorated with original frescoes, exquisite period furniture and sumptuous fabrics. The result of the sympathetic restoration is a unique atmosphere which has remained intact over the centuries where tradition and modernity live happily together.
Guests of the Relais Santa Croce will find that luxury is evident throughout the hotel - from the stunning lounge to the beautiful bedrooms, every detail has been carefully considered in order to make a stay here perfect.
For that extra special occasion there are 2 luxurious Royal Suites with views of the nearby Basilica Santa Croce. Each of these suites has 18th century frescoes, fine period furniture and each has a splendid reception room for entertaining or relaxing.
The hotel also has excellent meeting facilities with 2 fully equipped meeting rooms and everything from interpreters to video conferencing may be arranged.
Fine dining at Guelfi e Ghibellini Restaurant is a feature of the Relais Santa Croce, where you will find Mediterranean cuisine on the menu alongside Tuscan specialties.
With this last acquisition Baglioni Hotels consolidates its presence in Tuscany. The Relais santa Croce adds to Hotel Bernini Palace in Florence, Residence Alleluja and Hotel Cala del Porto in Punta Ala.
