$5,000 donation to Windy City Habitat for Humanity marks achievements of first charitable cookie drive at the Doubletree Chicago Magnificent Mile Hotel

WHO: Birgit Radin, managing director of the Doubletree Hotel Chicago Magnificent Mile, will host a media reception and present a charitable donation to Warren Callahan, CEO of the Windy City Habitat, and his board members on Wednesday, December 17th. The event toasts the completion of nine months of dramatic renovation totaling over $21 million, and marks the accomplishments of this hotel's first seasonal fundraising campaign for one of Chicago's most worthy community organizations. Funds raised by the hotel were matched by hotel ownership from The Chartres Lodging Group, LLC resulting in a $5,000 donation to the cause.

WHAT: Formerly known as the independently managed Chicago City Centre Hotel & Sports Club, the property features 500 redesigned guestrooms and suites, a dramatically lit porte cochere, a new lobby bar and meeting spaces, and contemporary design throughout.
All public spaces and private event venues as well as the outdoor pool and sundeck have been updated, and a convenient Einstein Bros. Bagels(TM) offers casual dining to neighbors and guests.
Doubletree Hotel executives will present a $5,000 check for funds raised through the month-long Doubletree Signature Cookie Drive to benefit the organization. Afterwards, guests and media are invited to toast the season at the new Lobby Bar and to explore the property.
