Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor will unveil its newly renovated Cabana Suites on December 25, 2008.
The renovation involved transforming 12 Cabana Rooms into six spacious and elegantly appointed 70-square meter suites. The rooms are decorated in French-Indochina style while retaining the hotel's original character and charm by using local accents, such as custom-made Cambodian linens and silks, rich drapery and leather furnishings. The sense of luxury extends seamlessly to the bathrooms, with separate showers and claw-footed baths. Each suite also
features wireless internet access and high-tech entertainment modules.

All Cabana Suites have generously-sized private terraces with day beds and chaise loungers and provide easy access to the Kingdom’s largest pool, which replicates the ancient bathing pools of the Khmer kings at Phimeanakas. From the terraces, residents can enjoy views of the hotel’s exotic gardens, lush with tropical trees and flowers.

“Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor is the perfect destination for a cultural retreat, and we aredelighted to be able to offer discerning travelers the highest standards in service, design andamenities," said Alex Kassatly, General Manager for Raffles Hotels Cambodia. “These latest
refurbishments, together with our heartfelt personalized service, will ensure that residents willhave an enchanting stay, whenever they visit the Angkor temples.”

The elegant French period Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor is a sophisticated retreat only steps away from Siem Reap’s bustling market and just eight kilometers from the temple ruins.

Originally built in 1932, the Grand Hotel d’Angkor provided accommodation during the golden age of travel. Now restored, it has 120 guest rooms including four individually designed Personality Suites, six Cabana Suites and two Villa Suites set within the hotel gardens.

The imposing colonial façade gives way to a marble lobby featuring the original, professionallyrestored open metal cage lift that links the black and white tiled hallway of each floor. Old-world elegance extends to the hotel’s fine dining Restaurant ‘Le Grand’ and its Royal Cambodian
dishes. After dinner, sip cocktails at the Indochinese-style Elephant Bar, where author Somerset Maugham once used to patronize.

The hotel can also arrange English, French or Japanese-speaking guides to show residents the most popular sites in Siem Reap, such as Phnom Bakheng, the Bayon and Angkor Wat itself.
