At the beginning of December, Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts opened an upscale boutique hotel in the Vietnamese capital Hanoi, thereby doubling its portfolio in Vietnam: the management of Mövenpick Hotel Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City had already been taken over in July.
The new Mövenpick Hotel Hanoi is situated in a very central and popular area in the downtown of Hanoi and, following extensive renovation, looks very appealing with its stylish design.
“We are very pleased to be represented with a second hotel in Vietnam which is the most booming hotel market in Asia,” says Andreas Mattmüller, Senior Vice President Middle East & Asia Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts. “Gaining a foothold in Vietnam’s largest city will undoubtedly help us to consolidate the presence of our brand in the region.”
With their modern furniture, warm earth-tone colours and typically Vietnamese stylistic elements as well as their dark wood floors, the 154 spacious rooms and suites create an atmosphere of general wellbeing. Six rooms are equipped with movable make-up mirrors or irons and ironing boards among other things, thus catering to the specific needs of female business travellers.
The range of culinary delights includes “Mangosteen”, the all-day dining venue, as well as “Lounge 83” with its creative Rösti specialities and an integrated wine cellar. Gym and wellness studio “Kinetic” offers modern training equipment, sauna, massage rooms, and a VIP treatment room featuring a whirlpool. Four multi-functional conference rooms with state-of-the-art facilities for between 10 and 110 persons complete the range of services geared to business travellers.
“Thanks to the hotel’s central location, its elegant design and modern business amenities, our guests will immediately feel comfortable here”, adds Knuth Kiefer, General Manager of the hotel. “Our intention is to set ourselves apart from our competitors by providing a personalised service.”
