Fischer’s Fritz Honored with Two Michelin Stars for Second Consecutive Year
Regent Hotels & Resorts (www.regenthotels.com) proudly announces a globally recognized honor for The Regent Berlin’s Fischer’s Fritz Restaurant. The fine dining venue and Chef de Cuisine Christian Lohse were again awarded two Michelin stars, maintaining their status as the city’s only two-star Michelin restaurant.
Fischer’s Fritz is a haute seafood restaurant featuring French culinary influences and fresh, locally sourced produce. In 2007, when Fischer’s Fritz was first awarded its two stars, it marked the first time that a Berlin chef had earned two stars from Guide Michelin in 13 years.
One of Germany’s most prestigious chefs, Lohse has previously worked at two-star Michelin restaurant Charles Barrier in Tours, France; three-star Guy Savoy in Paris, three-star L’Esperance in Vezelay; and The Dorchester in London, where he became personal chef to the Sultan of Brenai.
“Fischer’s Fritz’s top-notch team works hard to achieve this level of excellence, and we are incredibly proud to see our efforts acknowledged by the Guide Michelin for the second year in a row,” said Wolfgang Nitschke, General Manager of The Regent Berlin.
Fischer’s Fritz is among many notable signature restaurants at Regent Hotels & Resorts worldwide. Culinary highlights include award-winning Cantonese cuisine at Li Xing Juan, The Regent Beijing; innovative French seafood and an extensive local wine list at Le Pressoir d’Argent, The Regent Grand Hotel Bordeaux; and James Beard award-winner Chef Mark Militello’s New American cuisine at 1 Bleu, The Regent Bal Harbour.
Upcoming signature restaurants at Regent Hotels & Resorts include The Regent Maldives (2009); The Regent Phuket Cape Panwa, Thailand (2009); The Regent Manila Bay, the Philippines (2010); The Regent Bangkok, Thailand (2010); The Regent Emirates Pearl Abu Dhabi (2010); The Regent Dubrovnik, Croatia (2011); The Regent Palmas del Mar Puerto Rico (2011); The Regent Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (2011); and The Regent Doha, Qatar (2013).
