Berlin/Vienna, 20 November 2008 – The grand opening of the Vienna International hotel in Berlin is approaching: today in 100 days, the 4-star superior andel’s Hotel will welcome its first guests
On 1 March 2009, exactly 19 months after receiving construction approval in August 2007, the andel’s Hotel in Berlin will be handed over to its intended use. The 4-star superior hotel, located on a property measuring over 9,000 square metres in size, will feature a total of 557 rooms and suites, including rooms for the hearing impaired, anti-allergy rooms and wheelchair-accessible rooms. The andel’s Hotel will also feature 3,800 square metres of flexibly configurable conference space with state-of-the-art audio-visual technology. Especially worth mentioning are the 570-square-metre ballroom as well as the Sky Bar on the 14th floor of the 60-metre hotel tower, offering a spectacular view over Berlin. “We have prepared ourselves for a variety of guests, from city tourists to business travellers, companies and events agencies, and look forward to opening the hotel in time for ITB, the leading trade fair for the global tourism industry,” says Rudolf Tucek, CEO of Vienna International Hotelmanagement AG. “By then, a total of 250 jobs will have been created in addition to the staff already employed.”
The architecture is the work of hotel building specialists Seeger Müller. British architects Jestico + Whiles, the creative force behind the already existing andel’s Hotels in Prague and Cracow, could again be won over for the interior design.
The andel’s Hotel Berlin is located east of central Berlin, conveniently situated near an S-Bahn metropolitan railway station for quick and easy access to and from the city centre, the international airports and the fairgrounds. “The excellent transport connections, in combination with the conference and restaurant offer and our high quality of service, allow us to expect a continuous utilisation of the hotel capacities,” says Rudolf Tucek.
The andel’s hotel concept: already in Prague and Cracow, from 2009 in Berlin and Łódź
The andel’s Hotels, with their sophisticated and exceptional design, have already attracted many fans of modern architecture in Prague und Cracow. The new hotels in Berlin and Łódź, Poland – both set to open in 2009 – will continue the success of their predecessors.
