Further Growth in UK, US and Worldwide

Doubletree by HiltonT, the upscale, full-service brand that is part of the Hilton Family of Hotels, today celebrated the debut of its first hotel in central London with the re-branding of the 112-room Courthouse Doubletree by Hilton London-Regent Street. This opening marks a brand development milestone of more than 200 hotels and resorts now welcoming travellers within the Doubletree collection, as well as the addition of a fifth Doubletree by Hilton hotel in Europe.

"As the incredible growth of Doubletree continues to extend to some of the most desirable business and leisure destinations around the world, we are honoured to commemorate our brand's hotel development milestone of more than 200 hotels with the opening of our first Doubletree by Hilton in Central London. This hotel launch in the heart of one of the most prominent gateway cities highlights the potential to competitively integrate our successful Doubletree by Hilton offering in the UK and around the world - enabling us to provide an extensive range and choice of premier accommodations to our customers wherever they travel," commented Dave Horton, senior vice president - brand management for Doubletree Hotels.

Additionally, it was announced today that Hilton has entered into a franchise license agreement with Sanguine Hospitality, which will see the Hoole Hall Country Club and Hotel in Chester become a Doubletree by Hilton in early 2009. The property has 110 guest rooms, meeting space, a ballroom, restaurant and bar. Significant investment is expected to add a spa to its already popular health club and pool.

Welcoming both announcements, Patrick Fitzgibbon, Senior Vice President of Development for Hilton Hotels - UK, Europe and Africa, said: "This exciting hotel opening in London and our latest development deal in Chester truly demonstrate the momentum behind the Doubletree by Hilton brand and the fast-growing international expansion of this fine group of full-service hotels. All further underscores our strategy to take Doubletree by Hilton to more than 20 hotels in the UK alone during the next five years."

The Courthouse Doubletree by Hilton London - Regent Street offers a secluded and comfortable setting to enjoy the best the capital has to offer. The hotel is set in the heart of London's bustling shopping and theatre district adjacent to the London Palladium at the northern foot of fashionable Carnaby Street.

The Courthouse Doubletree by Hilton London - Regent Street is operated by a subsidiary of Mastcraft Limited under a franchise agreement with Hilton.

Girish Sanger of Mastcraft Limited, commented about the hotel: "The Doubletree by Hilton brand represents a unique combination of relaxed sophistication and distinctive design, both of which have been key attributes of the Courthouse Hotel since it's opening in 2004. 21st Century Hotel Design with a Historical Courthouse Twist

The guestrooms, services and facilities at the Courthouse Doubletree by Hilton London - Regent Street are definitely 21st century but still retain their historic feel. The Hotel is situated in a Grade II-listed Magistrates Court, which set the scene for many famous cases during the past two centuries. Many of these cases were either heard there or taken to full trial at Crown Courts such as the Old Bailey. Charles Dickens worked as a reporter here for the Morning Herald in 1835. Oscar Wilde in 1895 had the start of his 'Queensbury' case heard in the building. Even John Lennon, Sir Mick Jagger, Johnny Rotten, Keith Richards all participated in trials here during the 1960s and 70s.

The Courthouse offers fine dining in the Michelin-recommended Silk restaurant where you can enjoy Thai and Indian fusion cuisine in the old Number One courtroom and see the witness stand, judges' bench and even the dock where the accused such as Napoleon III stood in 1847. The original Waiting Room is now an elegant, palm-filled atrium where you can partake of breakfast, light meals and afternoon tea. The aptly named Bar features sophisticated style along with three of the court's former prison cells which have been upgraded to private booths. Each booth retains the cell's original bunk beds and Victorian toilet - which now serves as an ice bucket for wine and champagne.

Some of the hotel's Magistrate Suites have been converted from the judges' original robing rooms, complete with the original wood parquet floors and impressive Robert Adams fireplaces. The hotel's luxurious Lalique Penthouse Suite was once part of the residence of the Metropolitan Police Commissioner. The other guestrooms are in a new wing originally housing a police station and shooting range.

Contemporary Guestrooms and Residential Style Amenities

Space and luxury are the hallmarks of the Classic, Superior and Executive guestrooms at the Courthouse Doubletree by Hilton London-Regent Street, with stylish modern furnishings designed to provide exceptional standards of comfort. Each guestroom is equipped with a comfortable workspace, as well as the very latest in-room technology, including LCD flat-panel televisions and high-speed internet access. Rooms also feature plush beds with high-thread-count linens and an abundance of pillows for a great night's sleep. The bathroom interiors, sourced exclusively from Italy, feature an innovative frosted picture window between the bathroom and bedroom offering light and privacy at the same time.

Recreation and Relaxation At Your Convenience

The Courthouse Doubletree by Hilton - Regent Street is pleased to present the Sanook Spa - which offers a wide array of relaxation treatments ranging from facials, manicures and pedicures to massages, reiki, shiatsu and acupressure. A Glass Treatment Room is suspended over the hotel's swimming pool where guests can enjoy the calming influence of water which is one of the key elements of Feng Shui, an ancient Chinese practice of placement and arrangement of space to attempt to achieve harmony with the environment. A fully equipped gym with cardiovascular, weighttraining and stretching equipment also is available to guests to maintain their daily fitness regime.

Meeting and Event Space of Cinematic Proportions

The event facilities at the Courthouse Doubletree by Hilton - Regent Street - which can accommodate as many as 250 guests - are located throughout various areas of the hotel. More than 175 sq m of flexible function space are available in the Chambers Conference Centre - with many areas featuring natural daylight. The 113 sqm Rooftop Terrace is ideal for cocktail receptions with stunning views of the London skyline.

The hotel also is proud to present one of the biggest private cinemas in London. Seating 94 people in comfort and style, this impressive space has played host to a wide range of events, including screenings, product launches, corporate presentations and even weddings, as well as playing host to a regular cinema club, showing cult films from around the world. The screening room is equipped to the highest standard with professional 35mm and video / digital projection systems. A state of the art Dolby 6.1 sound system is installed, incorporating Martin Audio surround speakers and high powered stage units to provide full "surround EX" capability.

Worldwide Brand Expansion in London and Beyond
