The renowned Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort & Club in Aventura, Florida, just 20 minutes from the Fort Lauderdale International Airport, has joined Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI) as its newest member. ALHI provides corporations, associations, and independent planners dedicated national sales services for its 120-plus Four- and Five-Diamond/Star quality member hotels and resorts worldwide for meetings, incentive programs, conventions, and exhibitions.
The Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort & Club joins such other impressive ALHI member hotels and resorts in Southeast Florida as Boca Raton Resort & Club, the Biltmore in Coral Gables, Ocean Reef Club on Key Largo, InterContinental Miami, Fontainebleau Miami Beach, Loews Miami Beach Hotel, and PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens.
“This revitalized, and essentially new, resort is a wonderful new addition to the ALHI portfolio, with tremendous resort leadership and management with a focus on meetings and incentive business,” stated David G. Gabri, president and CEO of Associated Luxury Hotels.
Named one of the “World’s Best” in 2008 by Travel & Leisure magazine, the Mobil Four-Star Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort & Club recently completed a $150 million transformation that renewed its 392 spacious guest rooms and suites. The renovation also included the complete refurbishment of the resort’s 40,000-square-foot conference center, and an expansion of the lush outdoor function area The Magnolia Courtyard, which overlooks the new South golf course and a 50-foot waterfall feature. The renovation also renewed the two championship golf courses, 25,000-square-foot Willow Stream Spa, fitness center, tennis center, and three pools including a new lagoon-style pool with a lazy river. Additional resort offerings include a private Ocean Club (right on the Atlantic), and a marina. The resort is situated on 300 tropical acres in the city of Aventura, conveniently located just 20 minutes from the Fort Lauderdale International Airport and 35 minutes from Miami International Airport.
With a diverse luxury portfolio of more than 85,000 rooms and suites and 9 million square feet of meeting space, ALHI serves as a dedicated dues-based National Sales organization that enables planners to gain professional one-call access to its outstanding member hotels and resorts that specialize in meetings and incentive programs requiring from 10 to more than 5,000 rooms. Member properties include extraordinary meeting and incentive resorts, city hotels, exclusive smaller hotels, golf and destination resorts, historic and landmark properties, island destinations, resorts with spas, and spectacular hotels with world-class gaming and entertainment. There is no cost to planners to utilize the services of ALHI, as its members’ dues fund the organization.
