Opening Summer 2009, the 50-villa resort will occupy the entire Maalefushi Island in the Indian Ocean, giving travelers a private island experience with breath-taking over-water accommodations.
The resort’s 27 over-water villas allow guests to observe marine life located directly below their rooms. They are complimented by 23 beachfront villas and an over-water fine dining restaurant, featuring fresh local seafood and produce from the on-site organic chef’s garden.
The resort also offers incredible luxury amenities and activities, including:
* Customized fishing expeditions hosted by a professional crew to catch local striped marlin, Wahoo and yellowfin tuna. The catch of the day can then be prepared to guests’ liking by the fine dining chef.
* Private scuba instruction and certification.
* Spa treatments offered directly over the lagoon.
* Gourmet picnicking on a private island minutes from the resort.
* Sunset cruises aboard a traditional dhouri, accompanied by Bodu Beru music.
* Luxury speedboat atoll tours of fishing villages, capital cities and untouched islands.
To celebrate its debut, Regent is featuring a special offer with up to four complimentary nights next summer. For more on that, please see below.
