Positioned as the premier destination spa of the twenty-first century, Six Senses Destination Spa Phuket begins wellness experiences at The 7th Sense - an innovative concept that embraces the themes of Chinese, Indian, Indonesian and Thai inspired architecture. It is supported by world-renowned visiting consultants, who are specialists in recognised areas that contribute to each guest’s personal Life Passage and holistic well-being. These areas include pranayama, buteyko and other breathing techniques, yoga, energy healing, and equilibropathy, to name just a few.

Nikorn Banjerdlert, a mind-awareness facilitator, is one of these specialists. Nikorn offers personal sessions in energy healing, mind awareness and self-enlightenment. The goal of these treatments is to connect to the “spirit within”, to provide inspiration and to enhance the potential for personal contentment and happiness. Universal energy healing, or reiki, is very relaxing, powerful and completely risk free. It helps to harmonise body, mind and spirit and is excellent for stress reduction and relaxation: the more one is open, the more one receives. The progress of reiki comes through the inclusion of five life principles that are facilitated by Nikorn. These principles are “do not be angry”, “do not worry”, “be grateful”, “work with integrity”, and “be kind to others”.

As a Reiki Master who has been trained in many therapies including The Language of Light, Tibetan Energy Balancing, Meditation and Meditative Listening, Nikorn draws from a healing career spanning more than 15 years. A former Buddhist monk, he also shares insights from over 2,500 years of Buddhist teachings that find application in life regardless of a guest’s background and religion. Nikorn says that he transformed himself, including recovery from poor eyesight and kidney stones, using many of his own healing tools. He is well respected for his compassionate work with Thailand’s tsunami victims and his sessions have been recognised by diverse groups such as British Airways, and by SpaFinder President Suzie Ellis.

Supporting The 7th Sense, guest accommodations at Six Senses Destination Spa Phuket include sixty-one private pool villas. Each pool villa is set in an edible landscape with sala and a bathroom that extends into the personal garden.
