Celebrate the Holidays in True New England Tradition
The BALSAMS Grand Resort Hotel is the ideal holiday vacation destination for Christmas Week, especially for extended families seeking all the joys of a traditional Christmas with none of the responsibilities of entertaining at home. Located high in New Hampshire's White Mountains, this 15,000 acre winter resort sets the stage for a variety of holiday festivities including a welcome reception, a commemorative BALSAMS ornament, a sleigh ride around the property, gingerbread decorating, ornament making, caroling, dancing, and wine tastings. On Christmas Eve, guests are invited to gather around the fireplace in the John Dix Social Room for a special reading of Twas the Night Before Christmas and enjoy hot chocolate or chilled cider. Outdoor winter fun includes broomball, ice-skating and snowshoeing and guests can also choose from alpine and Nordic skiing for an additional fee. A traditional Christmas brunch will be offered on Christmas Day and will feature a lavish buffet of culinary delights including carving, omelet and waffle stations and an endless selection of delectable pastries.
The festivities continue for guests who stay to ring in the New Year at The BALSAMS. A spectacular New Year's Eve celebration at the Notch will include a breathtaking fireworks display, a grand dinner buffet and dancing in the ballroom.
Rates for Christmas week, December 19-26, 2008, begin at $139 per person, per night, based on double occupancy and include overnight accommodations, full breakfast in The BALSAMS' Dining Room, and all holiday resort activities*. Connecting rooms and family suites are available upon request.
*Activities will vary throughout the week. Not every activity will be available each day.
