The National Restaurant Association today announced that registration for news media and exhibitors is now open for its 2009 Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show and International Wine, Spirits & Beer Event (IWSB). NRA Show 2009 will be held May 16-19 at McCormick Place in Chicago, and is the largest foodservice and hospitality industry event in the Western Hemisphere, showcasing more trends and products than any other tradeshow. The 2009 IWSB will be held in conjunction with the NRA Show on Sunday, May 17-18, and is the only beverage alcohol event exclusively focused on the restaurant and hospitality industry. Online registration is available at www.restaurant.org/show/register.
"It is more important than ever in the current economy for restaurant operators to strengthen and build their business to position themselves for growth and success, and no other industry event offers more unparalleled opportunities for them to do so," said Lorna Donatone, Convention Chair for NRA Show 2009 and President of School Services, Sodexo, Inc. "The NRA Show is the industry’s number-one event to explore current and future trends and generates many news angles – from how to stay competitive in this challenging economic environment to the hottest food and beverage items, to the latest technology. Exhibitors are working hard to develop new products and services to help operators and retailers solve operational challenges. The NRA Show is an incredibly news-rich environment.”
The NRA Show attracts more restaurant industry professionals, suppliers and manufacturers than any other restaurant and hospitality industry trade show. It is the premier venue to find new products and services, build relationships and network, learn from experts and peers, as well as explore the latest trends in food and beverage, equipment, training and cooking techniques.
NRA Show 2008 attracted 500 journalists from both consumer and trade media outlets, reporting and collecting background information on new products, hot menu trends, the latest technology, business and operational best-practices, and more.
Now in its second year, IWSB is the industry's first and only professional forum focused exclusively on restaurant and hospitality bar programs. Held in a separate exhibit area of McCormick Place, the two-day event gathers brewers, vintners and distillers, leading beverage experts, beverage alcohol buyers, distributors and more from around the world in one exclusive area.
Credentialed journalists receive free access to both the NRA Show and IWSB when registering for either event. The Association is also welcoming bloggers who regularly write about restaurants and food to attend as press. For eligibility requirements, visit the Show Web site.
Celebrating its 90th year, the annual National Restaurant Association Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show is the largest single gathering of restaurant, foodservice and lodging professionals in the world. The 2009 Show will be held May 16-19, at McCormick Place in Chicago. The event attracts 2,000+ exhibiting companies and 71,500 attendees and visitors from all 50 states and 100+ countries. The International Wine, Spirits & Beer Event, now in its second year, attracts top-level brands, levels and bar program buyers for all industry segments.
