Hotel Brand Makes Stronger Connection with Business Travelers
Courtyard by Marriott® (NYSE: MAR) is making business travel easier by sponsoring the new “My Travel” application developed by TripIt, Inc. on LinkedIn. When it was launched, Courtyard quickly transformed the hotel industry, as the first brand built specifically for business travelers. The brand continues to innovate with this advertising approach, enabling Courtyard to better target its core customers and increase bookings.
TripIt, an online travel itinerary web service, is teaming up with LinkedIn, the world’s largest online business network, to offer LinkedIn’s 30-million members an easier way to plan and keep track of their travel itineraries. They will also be able to share travel plans with their LinkedIn online professional network. Online ads for Courtyard will appear within the TripIt My Travel application. The ads will include a link to www.courtyard.com, making it convenient for users to find Courtyard hotels and make room reservations as they plan their business travel.

The TripIt tool is part of the first round of LinkedIn applications launched today that will offer LinkedIn members a more robust experience When LinkedIn members add the TripIt My Travel application to their page, Courtyard’s logo will appear with an link to www.courtyard.com.
