MGM Grand Detroit has been awarded the
2008 Pinnacle Award; it recognizes exceptional commitment to hospitality
excellence, as voted by the readers of Successful Meetings magazine. The
Pinnacle Award establishes MGM as the "Best of the Best" by meeting
planners across the nation.
For the past 24 years, the Pinnacle Award has recognized hotels,
conference centers and convention and visitor's bureaus that extend above
and beyond the expectations of meeting planners and attendees. A short list
of Pinnacle winners is developed by the significant and well respected
opinions of meeting planners who speak from their own experiences. Winners
are selected for their hospitality excellence, innovation, customer
collaboration and exceptional amenities that set them apart from the rest
in the industry.
"Not only are we proud to receive this prestigious award, we're
especially proud of our team members for earning this level of distinction
for our property so soon after opening," said John Hutar, vice president of
MGM hotel operations. "Meeting planning experts have long recognized MGM
MIRAGE properties for excellent program execution. We're proud that MGM
Grand Detroit now joins Bellagio, Mirage, MGM Grand Las Vegas and other
sister properties with this distinctive award."
