Park Hotel Clarke Quay, the newest addition to Park
Hotel Group’s portfolio in Singapore, is gearing up for its opening in March 2009.
When it opens, Park Hotel Clarke Quay will be a refreshing addition to what is already Singapore’s most vibrant lifestyle enclave – Clarke Quay.
It will have 336 rooms and suites, including two floors of Park Privilege Club rooms. The cosy rooms feature modern furnishings with a classic touch, as well as a full range of lifestyle and business amenities, while the suites come with fully-furnished living rooms and bathrooms. Located on the 9th and 10th floors, the Park Privilege Club rooms offer exclusivity for discerning business travellers with a business centre, meeting rooms and the option of dining in the private Club Lounge.
Other hotel facilities include three multi-purpose meeting and conference rooms, Brizo, the all-day dining restaurant, a gymnasium, an outdoor swimming pool and spa pavilions.
The hotel’s striking design, by DP Architects and DP Design, is a contemporary take on Singapore architecture in the 1800s. The 10-storey building is topped by a striking red-tiled roof and towers with spires, while its exterior features neo-classical motifs such as cast iron
balconies and large overhanging eaves.
The hotel features intelligent lighting, accentuating the interiors of the rooms and illuminating a stunning façade that offers a refreshing change to the skyline of the riverfront area.
Tai Lee Siang, Director of DP Architects, says: “The design of Park Hotel Clarke Quay seeks to enhance the rich heritage and architectural style along the Singapore River. Rendered in a contemporary style that draws its inspiration from the old world charm of Singapore’s colonial past, Park Hotel Clarke Quay, with its lush landscape, will serve as a tropical retreat in the centre of the city.”
