Singapore-listed Banyan Tree Holdings Limited (“Banyan Tree”), a leading developer, designer and operator of luxury resorts, hotels and spas, will be hosting its second exhibition in Singapore to showcase its exclusive private villa brand, Banyan Tree Residences. This follows the success of its exhibition in Hong Kong in June this year, which was attended by over 400 visitors and which yielded first-time buyers from Hong Kong nationals and expatriate segments. The Group hopes to replicate its success overseas with upcoming exhibitions in Beijing and Shanghai, China; Abu Dhabi; and Dubai.

Targeted at top tier travellers and investors, Banyan Tree Residences provides an opportunity to invest in a range of villas, townhouses or apartments in five distinct locations - Phuket and Bangkok, Thailand; Bintan, Indonesia; Lijiang, China and Seychelles. The latest location in Mayakoba, Mexico, offers a prime selection of 25 one, two and three-bedroom Banyan Tree Residences under the pre-delivery Founders’ Program, which will allow owners to enjoy first selection of the villa inventory.

An Appetite for Growth
Elaborating on the expanding footprint of Banyan Tree Residences, Mr. Ariel Vera, Group Managing Director, Banyan Tree Holdings Limited, said, “There is an enthusiastic trend for acquisition of vacation properties. Going forward, we are focused on expanding our portfolio through new and unique locations which we believe will appeal to our clientele. By providing an innovative lifestyle investment option, as well as working to constantly enhance the host of privileges available to villa owners, we are confident that we will see continuing demand for Banyan Tree Residences.”

The private exhibition of Banyan Tree Residences will be held in Singapore on 11 and 12 October 2008. Executives from the Hotel Residences arm of Banyan Tree Group and Savills Singapore will be available to meet with interested parties looking to acquire branded resort residences. Thereafter, the Banyan Tree Residences team will be moving on to Beijiing, China; Abu Dhabi; and Dubai; all for the first time.

Product Innovations
With the introduction of Banyan Tree Grand Residences in Phuket, owners can opt to have exclusive use of their Residence, separate from the hotel inventory, thereby keeping the villa as a private vacation home with the added services of property management and upkeep.

Under an Exchange Programme designed to enhance the lifestyle proposition by allowing owners access to other Banyan Tree resorts, Residence Club members may now choose to use only part of their annual entitlement at their Residence, and swap the remaining days with other members in different destinations. This enables investors to replicate the Banyan Tree experience in a variety of locations.

Banyan Tree currently owns and/ or operates 24 premium hotels and resorts in highly sought-after city, beach and mountain resort locations, as well as 66 spas, 66 galleries and 2 golf courses. Over 40 new Banyan Tree Group hotels and resorts are slated to open by 2011 in destinations that will include China, Greece, India, Mexico, Vietnam and UAE
