Sheraton Strengthens Presence In Japan With First Hotel In Okinawa

Starwood Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement for the new-build Sheraton Okinawa Ginowan Hotel in Japan. Targeted to open in 2010, it marks Sheraton’s entry into the dynamic Okinawa market. Located in Ginowan city on the west coast of Okinawa’s main island, the 245-room hotel is a 15-minute drive from Naha city, the capital of Okinawa prefecture, and 40 minutes from Naha airport. Other facilities include a 320-sq m ballroom, lobby lounge, two restaurants, a spa and recreational facilities.
