Marriott Honored with the Best Reputation in the Services Industry Award

In a recent survey of consumers conducted by the Reputation Institute, Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE:MAR) earned a #1 ranking among all companies in the services category in the United States. Marriott was the only lodging company listed in the top 30 of the “75 most reputable companies in the U.S.”

Marriott, Jr., chairman and CEO of Marriott International. “We are proud of our reputation for upholding the highest standards, whether it's how we do business, supporting our communities or taking care of our guests and associates.”

The Global Pulse 2008 study was conducted to measure corporate reputation through the four indicators of reputation – trust, esteem, admiration, and good feeling. The Global Pulse is the only study that compares company standings against each other within a country, industry or around the world, and provides corporate executives with a fuller understanding of how they are perceived by stakeholders in the marketplace.
