David Carey, President & CEO of Outrigger Enterprises Group, has announced the promotion of Dan Wacksman to the newly created position of Senior Vice President, Integrated Marketing.

Mr. Wacksman, who was most recently based in Hong Kong, has relocated to Honolulu to take on the additional responsibility as Senior Vice President, Integrated Marketing while maintaining his existing role of Senior Vice President, Resorts Interactive Group. Mr. Wacksman, who joined Outrigger in August 2007, will oversee the aggressive expansion of Outrigger's online business.

"Dan has extensive experience in the online agency business, and with his first-hand knowledge of the dynamic travel scene evolving in Asia, Dan will bring a new perspective to the next stage of our company's growth," Mr. Carey said.

Mr. Wacksman has spent nearly 15 years in the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to joining Outrigger, he was Regional Director, Asia, with Gullivers Travel Associates (GTA) in Hong Kong, where he was responsible for offices in six countries. GTA is one of the largest travel wholesalers in the world, specializing in delivering travel content and technology to both traditional and online travel agencies.

Mr. Wacksman also spent several years working in mainland China with Cendant Travel Distribution Services, now Travelport, one of the world's largest and most geographically diverse collections of travel brands and distribution businesses. As Director of Strategic Development, he was part of the team that acquired a Beijing-based technology company and negotiated a joint venture with one of the largest travel companies in China. He was later promoted to General Manager of this joint venture and was responsible for all aspects of the business, which led to the successful launch of the B2C website and call center-based business Aoyou.com.

Mr. Wacksman also worked for Cendant Travel Distribution Services in their New Jersey headquarters as Director of Business Development and was involved in several acquisitions of online travel and technology companies and in successfully leading their business integrations.

Before joining Cendant, Mr. Wacksman worked in Honolulu with CheapTickets.com in various capacities, including training, operations, and product and business development.
