New Executive Announcements and Promotions at Six Senses Resorts & Spas (Philippines)

Frank Wesselhoefft – Director of Guest Services and Standards. Frank Wesselhoefft has been promoted to director of guest services and standards. In his new role he is responsible for planning and executing the training and development plans of all butlers and guest service hosts throughout the Six Senses group.

Frank most recently held the position of general manager of Evason Ana Mandara Villas Dalat, Vietnam. Prior to this he was resort manager at various Six Senses properties including the multi-award-winning Soneva Fushi and Soneva Gili resorts in the Maldives, and Six Senses Hideaway Hua Hin in Thailand.

After graduating from Hotel School Cologne in Germany, Frank started his hospitality career in his native Germany, before moving to the United Kingdom to join the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park in London where he performed several management roles associated with hotel operations over a period of five years.

Ryosuke Yakuwa - Director of Sales, Vatulele Island Resort, Fiji. Ryosuke Yakuwa has been promoted to the position of director of sales for Vatulele Island Resort, Fiji. Reporting directly to the chief sales officer of Six Senses Resorts & Spas, he is accountable for managing the sales and marketing activities for the Six Senses managed resort.

Ryo previously held the position of sales and marketing manager for Soneva Resorts in the Maldives. Prior to this, he was resident manager, Cox & Kings Maldives, where he represented several high-end resorts in Japan.

Ryo is a graduate of University College London where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Built Environment, and holds a Master’s Degree from London School of Economics in Urban Design and Social Science. His interests include architecture and design, culinary discoveries and wine.

Theresa Castillo – Corporate Trainer. Theresa Castillo has joined Six Senses in the position of corporate trainer overseeing the conduct and facilitation of mandatory training throughout the Six Senses group.

Theresa joins Six Senses from Accor Asia Pacific, where she held the position of corporate trainer Asia for two and half years. She brings with her extensive hospitality experience spanning more than twenty-nine years throughout various international companies including the Manila Hilton, Orientours, Satellite Travel, John Robert Powers in Manila, and Sofitel Phi Phi Villa & Spas.

Theresa obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree majoring Hotel and Restaurant Management from St. Scholastica’s College Vito Cruz in her native Philippines.
