Rocco Forte’s Hotel de Russie has launched “Art-training”, a series of personal trainer session designed to take in the sights of Rome whilst jogging or cycling.
Triathelte Danilo Palmucci, winner of eight Italian triathlons, has mapped a 12-kilometre “Art-cycling” route and two five-kilometre “Art-running” routes which take in the highlights of the Eternal City - and with each session starting early in the morning, they’re the ideal start to the day.
At 6.45am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, Danilo will take guests on his Green “Art-running” route through the enchanting Villa Borghese, the largest public park in Rome. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, Danilo leads the Monunmental route, taking in the most famous and beautiful monuments in the world, from Piazza del Popolo, to the Trevi fountain and the Panthenon. The sessions last one hour and cost 100 Euro per person (approx £80) for an individual session and 80 Euro per person (approx £63) for a group session (a maximum of six people)
At 6.45am on Saturdays is the 12-kilometre “Art-cycling” route, lasting for two hours and going further afield to take in the Piazza Navona, Castel S. Angelo and St. Peter’s Square. The tour costs 160 Euro per person (approx £126) for individuals and 80 Euro (approx £63) for groups (maximum of four people).
Afterwards, guests can relieve tired muscles in the De Russie Wellness Zone, an exclusive oasis of wellbeing complete with Hydrotherapy Pool area with sauna and turkish bath.
