Benchmark Hospitality International has announced the promotion of Greg Parsons to vice president for the leading hospitality management company. In his new role, Mr. Parsons joins Benchmark\'s corporate management team, providing support and supervision to a region of the company\'s resorts, hotels, and conference centers. Sam Haigh, president and chief operating officer, made the announcement.
\"Greg has consistently excelled in numerous leadership roles throughout his 11-year tenure with Benchmark, successfully leading the management teams at three of our properties, as well as providing staff support to several sister Benchmark operations,\" said Mr. Haigh. \"I am so pleased to announce this latest promotion of Greg to this key position within our senior leadership team.\"
Greg Parsons most recently served as vice president and general manager of Eaglewood Resort & Spa, Benchmark\'s property located in Itasca, Illinois, a Chicago suburb. Through his effective leadership, the resort has consistently been a top performer, capturing and maintaining the Four Diamond Award as well as top guest and employee satisfaction ratings. He came to the resort as general manager when the property joined the Benchmark portfolio.
Mr. Parsons has also served the Benchmark organization as opening general manager for Stonewall Resort in Roanoke, West Virginia. He joined the company as general manager at The Northland Inn, located in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, a Minneapolis suburb.
Throughout his tenure with Benchmark Hospitality, Parsons has steadily assumed additional responsibilities within the organization, serving as field staff support and mentoring new general managers.
Before joining Benchmark, he served as general manager of Arrowood Resort in Alexandria, Minnesota, for Radisson Hotels and Resorts. He began his hospitality career with Hilton Hotels.
Mr. Parsons earned his bachelor\'s degree in Hospitality Management from Ferris State University, located in Big Rapids, Michigan.
