Meeting planners, association executives and incentive specialists will have the chance to win impressive 1-carat diamond solitaires being awarded by Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI) at upcoming shows. Planners attending ASAE Annual in San Diego August 16-19, 2008, will have the opportunity to register for the chance to win the extraordinary “Seaport Diamond,” named after the luxurious AAA Four-Diamond waterfront hotel in Boston, by stopping by and registering for the drawing at ALHI’s “Luxury Lane” area at the show (booths 2230-2353).

Planners at ITME – The Motivation Show in Chicago September 23-25, 2008, can enter for the chance to win “The Island Hotel Newport Beach Diamond,” named for the exclusive Newport Beach, California hotel that provides incredible views of the Pacific Ocean, by simply stopping by and registering for the drawing at ALHI’s “Luxury Lane” area at the show. The diamond giveaways are part of ALHI’s “2008 Diamond Tour,” where spectacular one-carat diamonds are awarded at select tradeshows throughout the year.

“We began the diamond giveaways in 2005 as a unique way to showcase our luxurious Four- and Five-Diamond member hotels and resorts to meeting professionals, association executives and incentive specialists,” said David Gabri, president and CEO of ALHI. “It has proven to be very popular, so we’ve continued the giveaways this year. It’s a great way to highlight exceptional ‘gem’ properties like Seaport in Boston and The Island Hotel Newport Beach.”

Earlier diamonds awarded in 2008 include the “Grand Wailea Resort Hotel & Spa Diamond” at MPI-PEC in February; the “Ojai Valley Inn & Spa Diamond” at ASAE Springtime in April; and the “ALHI Diamond” at ALHI’s Luxury Showcase in Washington, D.C. in May. The “InterContinental London Park Lane Diamond” will be awarded at ALHI’s Luxury Showcase in Chicago in July, and the “Pebble Beach Resorts Diamond” will be given away at MPI-WEC in August. Each diamond is named for one of ALHI’s distinguished members.
