Recognition was awarded based on stellar sales performance, active and strong leadership, sales team participation, and the ability to overcome obstacles and challenges to achieve sales goals.
"We are celebrating an excellent year for Benchmark Hospitality and our professional sales team has made this happen," said Eric Terry, vice president sales and marketing. "We are so pleased to recognize the best of the best of our superb sales organization with these National Sales Awards."

Veteran Sales Professional Ken Lupp Recognized Prior to Retirement
Benchmark also recognized and celebrated veteran hospitality sales executive Ken Lupp, for a decade of exemplary service at The Founders Inn and Spa. Mr. Lupp is retiring in June of the year. A disciplined professional who starts his day in the office at 6:00 am, Mr. Lupp is retiring at the top of his game. He has consistently met his annual sales goals, exceeding them by 18% last year while tracking to do the same in the current year. He grew average daily rate year-over-year by up to 8% and has successfully converted 60% of his religious market bookings to the Benchmark Conference Plan, the company’s meeting product. Assigned the virtually non-existent association market at The Founders Inn and Spa just 18 months ago, he doggedly developed the market, booking nearly 4000 room nights to date.
A professional of such remarkable ability is difficult to say "goodbye" to so Mr. Lupp will return to the Benchmark organization as a consultant in the religious market, an area where he has significant expertise and contacts.
In addition to Benchmark’s recognition, Mr. Lupp was honored with the President’s Award from the Religious Conference Management Association (RCMA). During his 18 years with the organization, Lupp has been an active Board member and has served as a guest speaker and presenter for RCMA’s conferences. Additionally, he recruited more new members to RCMA than anyone in the association’s history.
