This summer, Regent Seven Seas Cruises is inviting its guests to join two of the country’s hottest celebrity chefs as they conduct demonstrations, lead food shopping excursions to local markets, and teach guests to prepare their signature cuisine, all in an atmosphere of luxury.
Guests traveling aboard all-suite, all-balcony Seven Seas Voyager this summer can participate in a “Spotlight on Food and Wine” enrichment program featuring Cathal Armstrong, owner of Virginia’s Restaurant Eve. Profiled in Food + Wine as one of America’s top 10 young chefs, Armstrong will accompany a Mediterranean culinary odyssey along with French wine expert Stephane Vivier and renowned fromagier Max McCalman. Guests will learn the secrets of gourmet food and wine as they sip sherry in its native Cadiz, celebrate port in Portugal, and salute the cuisines of France and Spain.
Chef Michel Richard of Washington, D.C. is owner of hotspots Citronelle and Central Michel Richard. Featured in the April 2008 issue of Food + Wine, Richard was recently recognized by The New York Times for Central Michel Richard, one of 10 American “restaurants that count.” This summer, Richard will host a “Spotlight on Food and Wine” enrichment program from Seward to Vancouver, B.C. aboard Seven Seas Mariner. Richard will feature offer Continental surprises with demonstrations and a special tasting menu for Regent guests.
Both chefs have just been nominated for the 2008 James Beard Foundation awards.
