Naim Maadad has been promoted from area director to managing director for the Middle East. This is the second promotion in a year for Naim and comes after the successful launch of Six Senses Hideaway Zighy Bay in Oman - an 82 pool villa property located on the northern Musandam Peninsula in the Sultanate of Oman.
In his new role, Naim will be responsible for overseeing the management of all Six Senses resorts and Six Senses Spas in the Middle East, in addition to taking charge of pursuing new resort and spa developments in the region. This includes the launch of Evason Ma’in & Six Senses Spa in Jordan later this year. The promotion underlines Six Senses’ continued growth in its portfolio within the region.
Naim joined Six Senses from the Sunset Beach Resort at Al Kobar, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where he held the role of resort manager. Naim’s previous roles have seen him based in Tokyo and Yokohama, Japan; Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; Dubai, United Arab Emirates; and in Queensland’s Gold Coast and Hayman Island in his homeland Australia.
He earned an MBA from International Management Centre – an affiliate of Oxford/Surrey University of London, a Diploma of Business (Hospitality Management) from the University of South Australia, plus other certificates in food and beverage service and management, in Australia.
Naim is based at Six Senses Hideaway Zighy Bay.
