New Indulge Spa Enhances Luxury Caribbean Resort Experience
Galley Bay, the celebrated Caribbean hideaway tucked into a tranquil corner of (http://www.galleybayresort.com/ ) Antigua's west coast, once again has secured a place on the prestigious TripAdvisor.com's Traveler's Choice "Best Luxury - World" top 100 list. This year, the intimate all-inclusive beachfront resort also took top honors being named to the "Best All-Inclusive," "Best Luxury" and "Best "Romance" - World lists, as well as a high ranking on the Latin America/Caribbean region list.
Plus, the award-winning resort has just upped its luxury quotient with its recently opened Indulge spa. The new luxury spa provides an extensive range of beauty and therapeutic treatments in a posh tree-house-like setting overlooking a bird sanctuary lagoon. The upscale facilities include two open air treatment "pods" -- one for couples massages and one for single massages, as well as single and couples air-conditioned treatment rooms, a spa pool, and a soothing space to relax before and after treatments. The famed Pevonia Botanica products are used with treatments.
"We're pleased but not surprised at the TripAdvisor.com honors. Discerning travelers consistently praise Galley Bay for its friendly, caring service, wide range of amenities and refined yet unpretentious atmosphere. And it just keeps getting better. Our new spa, Indulge offers pampering and rejuvenating treatments. Anyone who receives a massage on one of the private open-air massage decks will understand why we named the spa "Indulge," said Steven E. Heydt, Elite Island Resorts president.
Galley Bay consistently garners many of the travel industry's most prestigious awards. Recent honors include the 2007 Gold Award from Virgin Holidays for "Best Caribbean & Mexican Resort" as well as the Conde Nast Traveler Gold List of "World's Best Places to Stay" and the magazine's "Top 25 Caribbean Resorts Reader's Choice Award."
Starting June 12, 2008, Delta Airlines is slated to add Thursday and Sunday non-stop service from New York's JFK International Airport to Antigua, making Galley Bay easier than ever to reach. All inclusive nightly rack rates at this acclaimed resort start at $965 based on double occupancy through March 31; from $815 between April 1 to December 20, 2008.
