The Mövenpick Hotel Hamburg was awarded one of the world’s most important real estate awards in Cannes on 13 March 2008. This hotel, which opened in June 2007 and is housed in a historic water tower built under the direction of Patrizia Projektentwicklung GmbH, received the MIPIM Award in the Hotels and Tourism Resorts category.*
The renowned MIPIM Award has been given since 1991 and is considered the Oscar of the real estate industry. The jury weighs criteria such as quality, originality, infrastructure and service offer. Besides the selected hotels, award winners were selected in five other categories from among the 16,000 entries.
“We are exceptionally proud of this prestigious international award,” said Jean Gabriel Pérès, President & CEO Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts. “The MIPIM Award is the highest recognition for one of the most spectacular and successful hotels in our portfolio. It underscores our commitment to surprise our guests in a positive way with refreshing hotel concepts that have been completely styled down to the smallest detail such as in Hamburg, Berlin and Stuttgart.”
The upscale Mövenpick Hotel Hamburg is situated in a central location and has 226 rooms and suites. It delights visitors and guests with its unique architecture and exceptional design, where historic elements of the 19^th century water tower harmonize perfectly with a contemporary hotel concept. In the Mövenpick Hotel Restaurant with its terrace and in the Cave Lifestyle Bar and Lounge, guests are spoiled in every way, while the Fitness and Wellness Center provides for relaxation. The Conference Center has space for 180 conference and banquet delegates.
