Program is Awarding More Than Six Million Points

Just in time for Valentine's Day, President's Day or Spring Break, Carlson Hotels Worldwide today announced that its goldpoints plus program is inviting guests staying at any of its four brands in the United States to Check In & Win up to 100,000 Gold Points from now through March 30, 2008. Guests will receive a "Check In & Win" instant win card when they check in at any Radisson Hotels & Resorts(R) (http://www.radisson.com/), Park Plaza Hotels(R) & Resorts (http://www.parkplaza.com/), Country Inns & Suites By Carlson(SM) (http://countryinns.com/) and Park Inn(R) (http://www.parkinns.com/) property in the U.S.

"We will be awarding over six million Gold Points during the two-month promotion to surprise and delight our guests, which further underscores our commitment to offering travelers increased earnings and redemption value under our newly revamped program," said Fredrik Korallus, executive vice president of Revenue Generation for Carlson Hotels Worldwide.

Each instant win card will reveal a point value ranging from 500 to 5,000 Gold Points and direct guests to http://www.goldpointsplus.com/checkin to enter the unique code from the card. The points will then be added directly to the guest's goldpoints plus account. Members receive a second chance to win more points by answering three trivia questions online.

Each day through March 30, 100,000 Gold Points will be awarded to one member to use as they choose among the program's numerous options from hotel stays, in hotel awards, airline miles or helping major charitable causes.

"Guests can use their points as they desire ranging from hotel stays, in-room movies, converting the points to airline miles or redeeming them for a goldpoints plus Visa(R) Pre-paid Card. They can also donate their points to World Childhood Foundation to help children at risk or to CarbonNeutral(R) to help offset their carbon footprint from their travels, which has become a leading environmental initiative. At a time when other programs are devaluing their payback, we want frequent travelers to know that we are committed to offering them increased value and benefits," Korallus added.

The enhanced goldpoints plus frequent guest program offers members more ways to earn and redeem for hotel rewards globally through one seamless system at any of Carlson's more than 965 locations in 70 countries, which includes more than 575 hotels in the U.S. including redemption at luxury properties under the Regent brand and top-tier Radisson properties.

Under the new structure, travelers can now earn 50-100 percent more points per hotel stay without an increase in the redemption level for rewards (e.g. 20 points per U.S. dollar/Euro spent on full-service hotel brand stays). Also, the program includes the opportunity for earning airline miles with the participation of 23 airline partners.
