SynXis , part of the Sabre Holdings company which provides distribution and technology for hotels, has revealed that it will become the new partner and long-term distributor to the Asia – Pacific luxury hotel group, Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts.
Using SynXis’ RedX Distribution Management System, properties of Shangri-La’s will be able to supply the global distribution systems with their inventory.
Travelers can then book accommodations once the information becomes available to travel agents as well as online travel sites such as Travelocity, lastminute.com and ZUJI.
Figures show that once a property uses SynXis’ RedX system, the same store sales increase between 11 and 23% during the first six months after switching.
“Shangri-La has outstanding properties and offers its guests the highest level of service, so we were not surprised that they had very demanding requirements for a distribution solution,” said SynXis’s President and General Manager, Scott Alvis.
Shangri-La has around 54 properties with 24 hotels in mainland China. It will also expand its presence in Europe and North America.
