The successful Swissôtel Chicago is currently undergoing a comprehensive renovation of all rooms as well as an expansion of the congress centre: the owners of the business are investing CHF 74 million in the luxury hotel managed by Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts with a central location at the heart of Chicago.
In future the Swissôtel Chicago will offer double the current conference area: 17,000 m²; the new ballroom alone accounts for a surface area of 5000 m² and is able to accommodate up to 1500 persons. State-of-the-art technology, unobstructed views, a flexible lighting system, fibre optic cabling, wireless internet and a ceiling over 5 metres high provide ideal conditions for events of all sizes.
Business travellers and tourists can also look forward to the 632 meticulously renovated hotel rooms and suites which will be available at the Swissôtel Chicago from April 2008. Comfortable beds, high-definition plasma TV, spacious desk surfaces as well as modern, ergonomic designer seating and customised telephones meet the needs of today’s guests. These fulfil the well-deserved reputation of Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts as a high-quality hotel chain.
“Positioned at a prominent location at the heart of Chicago, with views across Lake Michigan and only a few minutes by foot from Michigan Avenue, Swissôtel has for many years been one of the city’s established institutions. We are delighted that in future we will be able to offer our international guests standards which are even more contemporary and modern,” declares Thomas Klein, Regional Vice President The Americas at Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts.
