The Verandah Resort & Spa, a luxury, eco-friendly resort set along Antigua\'s secluded northeast coast, is featuring a pampering Tranquility Spa package that is perfect for every spa-goer. The Spa, which debuted October 19, 2007, draws on exotic techniques from around the world, including Thai Yoga massage and Sabai Stone treatments.
>From January 3 through March 31, 2008, the five-night all-inclusive Tranquility Spa package, priced at $1,299 per person, includes accommodations, all meals, beverages, non motorized water sports, taxes and service charges, as well as two Spa Tranquility Well Being massages, a bottle of champagne and a $100 resort credit for use towards spa treatments.
\"Our guests appreciate the spa\'s carefully-selected menu of restorative experiences and spacious yet intimate ambience,\" says Steven E. Heydt, Elite Island Resorts president. \"Like the resort itself, the spa is serene and relaxing -- designed to blend with the environment, while not sacrificing the luxury aspects of an upscale resort. Treatments feature world class Pevonia Botanica spa products.\"
The Spa\'s hedonistic and rejuvenating treatments includes a caviar and pearl anti-aging facial, a detoxifying seaweed wrap, and a green coffee wrap designed to reduce cellulite by stimulating the body\'s ability to break down fat and reducing water retention. A perennial favorite is the Spa\'s signature Well Being massage, which combines Swedish massage techniques with movements designed to improve circulation, ease tension, reduce stress and relax the body.
The resort also features hiking trails, two reef-sheltered beaches for swimming and non-motorized water sports such as kayaking, windsurfing, and snorkeling and the island\'s largest free-form swimming pool. There\'s also a state-of-the-art fitness center, a mini-cinema, and a dedicated kid\'s club, as well as a choice of restaurants and bars. Its 200 villa-style suites feature the resort\'s glorious namesake verandahs with incredible views of the sea, along with indulgent touches such as flat-screen TVs, king-size beds, Internet access, and romantic soaking bathtubs built for two.
