The Waldorf=Astoria Collection introduced the new Guerlain Spa Boutique on December 3, 2007, at the legendary Waldorf=Astoria hotel in New York City. The Spa Boutique opening precedes the much-anticipated opening of the brand’s first Guerlain Spa on the 19th floor of The Waldorf=Astoria in early 2008.

As part of The Waldorf=Astoria’s multimillion-dollar investment, the new Guerlain Spa Boutique will occupy the space just east of the main lobby adjacent to the legendary Waldorf=Astoria clock and will retail the exquisite skincare, fragrance, and makeup collections of Guerlain Paris, a world leader in beauty for nearly 200 years.

The Guerlain Spa Boutique will also serve as a luxury outpost and Spa booking lounge, affording visitors the opportunity to reserve Spa therapies from the ground floor and purchase the same fragrance and skincare used in each signature therapy. The Spa Boutique will also accommodate pre- and post-launch Guerlain Spa Gift Certificate sales.

The introduction of Guerlain Spa and the Spa Boutique at the landmark hotel marks the first implementation of the partnership agreement between The Waldorf=Astoria Collection, Guerlain, and global spa operator Spa Chakra, Inc. Together, The Waldorf=Astoria hotel and Guerlain promise a sumptuous urban spa retreat that delivers incomparable tranquility, transformation, and luxury. Future Guerlain Spas and Spa Boutiques are planned for Waldorf=Astoria Collection newly built hotels in gateway cities globally.

“We are thrilled to announce the collaboration between Guerlain and The Waldorf=Astoria Collection,” said Laurent Boillot, President and CEO of Guerlain. “Guerlain is an icon in the premium cosmetic industry, with nearly 180 years of history and excellence in product development and service. Luxury, service, and the permanent search for excellence have been common traits for decades for both The Waldorf=Astoria and Guerlain.”

“This remarkable Guerlain Spa Boutique is the first phase of what we envision as the blending of exceptional luxury spa experiences and incomparable hotel accommodations committed to guest engagement, exploration and discovery,” said Eric Long, general manager, The Waldorf=Astoria. “The end result will be an unprecedented guest experience.”

Guerlain Spa will offer five-star delivery of customized beauty and well-being treatments, featuring the exclusive Guerlain Méthode and advanced skincare technologies demonstrated through Guerlain’s iconic Exceptional Orchidée Impériale Treatment.

Beauty and wellness treatments include Facial Therapies, Body Sublimation, 5-Senses Hydrotherapy, Harmonizing Massage, Intensive Hand and Foot Therapies, Men’s Therapies, Totally Transforming Day Experiences, and spa accommodation retreat packages.

Occupying most of the newly designed 19th floor—most easily accessed by guests of the Waldorf Towers—the new spa will highlight Midtown Manhattan views throughout most of the facility.
