The Grand Hotel Marriott Resort, Golf Club & Spa is pleased to announce the recent promotion of Damon Dancy, AM Kitchen Supervisor to Sous Chef/Garde Manger.
Dancy's new management position, which began on October 12, 2007, will oversee the Cold Prep Stations for both Banquets and the Main Kitchen. As Garde Manger, Dancy will be responsible for creating a variety of beautiful salads that include, but are not limited to pasta, fruit and vegetables as well as preparing special displays and garnishes for the final plate presentations. This position requires great attention to detail and a passion for perfection. Dancy excels in both of these areas. He will also be responsible for the overall product, service quality, guest and associate satisfaction.
Dancy joined The Grand's Alabama beach hotel family in October 2006 as a Kitchen Supervisor. Over the past year Dancy has demonstrated his great supervisory skills through sincere dedication and his culinary passion, proving that he is certainly qualified for the demanding Garde Manger challenge.
Dancy has over ten years of food & beverage and supervisory experience. His previous culinary experience includes working with Ritz Carlton, Harbor Beach Resort, Exclusive Gourmet Catering and HDS Service. Dancy's professionalism, positive attitude and enthusiasm to serve in the hospitality industry are an asset to the company as well as to fellow associates at this Fairhope restaurant.
