Windstar Cruises Awarded Most Romantic Cruise Line and Best Tall Ship
Windstar Cruises, which operates a three-ship fleet of luxury yachts that explore hidden harbors and secluded coves of the world's most treasured destinations, has been recognized by Porthole Cruise Magazine as the Most Romantic Cruise Line and the Best Tall Ship by readers in the 9th Annual Reader's Choice Awards. This is the third time Windstar Cruises has won Most Romantic Cruise Line and the first time winning Best Tall Ship.
"We're honored that the readers of Porthole Cruise Magazine recognized the romantic, luxurious experience we deliver on our beautiful ships," said Diane Moore, Executive Vice President, Windstar Cruises. "These awards validate our crew and staff's commitment to create an outstanding cruise vacation experience that is 180 Degrees from Ordinary(R)."
Several thousand readers cast their ballots in the 9th Annual Reader's Choice Awards which are featured in the December 2007 issue of Porthole Cruise Magazine, the world's leading cruise travel magazine.
"Windstar Cruises is a leader in the tall ship cruising industry," said Bill Panoff, publisher and editor-in-chief of Porthole Cruise Magazine. "Our readers continue to see the high-quality and romance of a Windstar Cruise, and I couldn't agree more."
Windstar's commitment to providing guests with the most casually elegant, enriching and luxurious cruise vacation has consistently earned high praise from some of the most notable names in the travel world. In addition to Porthole Cruise Magazine's 2007 Reader's Choice Awards, Windstar Cruises earned top honors in Travel + Leisure's World's Best Awards this year. All three ships in Windstar's fleet of luxury sailing yachts were lauded among "The World's Best Small Ships" by Conde Nast Traveler readers in July and the company was recognized recently as the best small-ship cruise vacation by the readers of Celebrated Living.
