Mr. Sabry replaces Wael Aboelseoud, who has embraced a fresh challenge within the group by moving to a new role as General Manager of the Steigenberger Hotel El Tahrir in Cairo. Mr. Aboelseoud will assume full future charge of all business areas at the hotel, which is located in a luxurious city residence. In a further leadership change, Mostafa Khalaf was entrusted with operational and strategic management of the Steigenberger Nile Palace in Luxor with effect from the start of the year.

Islam Sabry has held a range of different positions in the areas of Front Office Management, Executive Assistance and Residence Management over the past few years. His most recent role was as Director of the Jaz Dahabeya Hotel in Dahab, where he took up the reins in September 2015. Mostafa Khalaf studied Hotel Management at the University of Alexandria before launching his career as a Front Desk Supervisor at Hilton. Most recently, the 40-year-old served as Operations Manager at the Hilton Luxor Resort and SPA. Wael Aboelseoud has worked for Steigenberger Hotels & Resorts for around seven years. He played a key part in the opening of the Steigenberger Hotel El Tahrir in 2016 and is now returning to the same hotel to take full charge.

The Steigenberger Cecil Hotel has occupied an impressive location at the Port of Alexandria since 1929. Numerous famous sights such as the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the Alexandria National Museum and the Amphitheatre are only a short distance away. The hotel has 82 guest rooms, all of which have been fitted out to an exceptionally high standard. There are also three luxurious suites offering views of the Mediterranean Sea.
