In the hushed intimacy of rue du Mont-Thabor, between the elegance of Place Vendôme and the tranquillity of the Tuileries, the Maison Barrière Vendôme invites guests to experience a harmonious blend of luxury and personality. Each room, suite or apartment is imbued with a unique character, designed to reflect a singular vision of Parisian refinement. More than just a stay, a true immersion in a universe both intimate and exceptional.
From the moment they enter, guests of the Maison Barrière Vendôme are greeted by the timeless charm of the water-green tones on the walls, accompanied by sculptures by Parisian artist Clémentine de Chabaneix and jewelry by Goralska, the jewellery house that has created its third luxury hotel residence. It's a simple but captivating introduction to the journey that interior designer Daniel Jibert, already at the helm of the group's first two hotels, will take us on.
Twenty-six women for twenty-six rooms
For this new house, Corinne Evens, owner and director of the Evens Group, wanted to highlight 27 women who had lived in Paris, or had left their mark on its history. Simone de Beauvoir, Mata Hari or Joséphine Baker : the 26 rooms, suites and apartments, ranging in size from 22 to 94m2, bear the name of an icon. Each room is representative of the world of one of these women: while the room overlooking the courtyard features the sculptural genius Camille Claudel in marbled gray tones, the large Audrey Hepburn apartment is decorated in bright pinks and pastels, reflecting the distinguished extravagance of the British actress. The headboard, a central, bespoke object, sets the style for the whole room: from the Lalique sconces to the curtains from the Declercq fabric house, everything is done to create an atmosphere that pays tribute to a woman of distinction. Each room features a portrait of its eponymous emblematic figure, as well as details scattered throughout the rooms: books, a chandelier, a lampshade...
The largest suite, the George Sand, is a 94 m² room-apartment on the hotel's seventh floor, with a balcony overlooking the Tuileries Gardens and Place Vendôme. Upon entering, guests discover a vast living room in wood and burgundy tones, with a library filled with books and decorations reminiscent of the interiors of the novelist's estate. The suite features a fully-equipped professional kitchen, including a wine cellar. The bedroom, with its light, luminous tones, is adjoined by a large bathroom with bathtub. For its range of hospitality products, Maison Barrière Vendôme calls on Officine Universelle Buly, a Parisian perfumery and cosmetics brand.
An unexpected location
The twenty-seventh woman, Frida Kahlo, will be honored at the bar-restaurant, Le Frida, in a subdued but colorful ambience, offering a warm South American-style cuisine from breakfast to dinner. Visitors will also soon be able to enjoy spa treatments under the stone vaults on the basement level, with two treatment cabins.
La Maison Barrière Vendôme promises future visitors an experience off the beaten track. From its rooms dedicated to iconic female figures to its vibrantly South American bar-restaurant, every detail has been designed by Corinne Evens and Daniel Jibert to celebrate the elegance, audacity and timeless charm of the capital and the women who have left their mark on it.
