The highlights of this 46th edition will be the President’s election, the presentation of very professional speakers and the interactive sessions during the Educational day.
The opening day will start with the General Assembly of the Members dedicated to the institutional moments of EHMA and the President’s election. At the same time of the General Assembly, the Young EHMA Group (made up of young hoteliers, presented by the different EHMA Chapters) will join a working session organized by EHL (École Hôtelière de Lausanne) led by Ian Millar, Manager of Inst. of Business Creativity & Senior Lecturer EHL.
The Working sessions will be concluded by the “Members’ Hour” and an “Open Forum” with the participation of Piotr Lipiec - Senior Business Development Manager Hotel TV Europe at Samsung; Valérie de Corte - Industry Relations & Alumni at EHL and Martim Gois – CEO at Valpas.
On Saturday 16 February, the Educational Day will focus on the theme of the event: “Welcome to the Future!", moderated by Sander Allegro, allegro INN ovations Hospitality Consulting, with interactive sessions.
The first key note speaker will be Ilja Grzeskowitz, German, nicknamed “Mr. Change” by clients and media, an expert in the culture of change. A group of MBA students at INSEAD will follow, presenting “What ticks for Millennials”. Thereafter, the other keynote speakers will be: Somer Gundogdu, President - Professional, Europe Middle East and Africa at Diversey, leader in providing smart, sustainable solutions for cleaning and hygiene; Yves Givel, Vice President HR Hyatt International; Serge Trigano, founder of the chain Mama Shelter; Hans Steenbergen at Food Inspiration Magazine; Claus Meyer, founder of Noma Restaurant; Märtha Rehnberg at Dare Disrupt; the interior architects Tristan Auer & Monica Moser at Wilson & Associate.
A panel with the title “What’s in it for me?” will close the Educational Day.
Then, the presentation of the European Hotel Manager of the Year 2018 Award as well as the Sustainability Award by Diversey 2019, dedicated to the best sustainable project of the year, will take place during the Cocktail & Gala Dinner which will be held in the ballroom of the InterContinental Paris Le Grand.
