Accor announced the signing of a new Handwritten Collection hotel in the prime location of Lijiang, a celebrated cultural and ecological tourism destination, renowned as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Set to open by the end of 2025, the hotel is located near the ancient town of Shuhe, with a view of the spectacular Jade Dragon Snow Mountains.

With a rising number of domestic and international visitors drawn to the region’s rich cultural heritage, the new Hotel Snow Mountain Lijiang - Handwritten Collection will provide a charming and characterful hospitality experience. Developed in partnership with Beijing Huaxia Brothers Cultural Industry Group Co., Ltd., the hotel further strengthens Accor’s commitment to expanding its portfolio in Yunnan Province.

Handwritten Collection is a unique hospitality brand where each hotel offers the bespoke experience of a stylish and inviting home,” said Gary Rosen, CEO, Accor Greater China.

As travelers continue to seek out more experiences with nature and culture, it is important that places such as Lijiang, with its geographical advantages, can offer a diverse range of hospitality options. Our new Handwritten Collection hotel will welcome travelers with charm, personality, and the authentic character of Lijiang showcased in every detail.”

The new four-story Hotel Snow Mountain Lijiang - Handwritten Collection will offer 100 guestrooms, including suites, each designed with thoughtful details to evoke a warm and heartfelt atmosphere.

A rooftop bar and a stylish Chinese restaurant will attract locals as well as hotel guests, creating an energetic buzz that brings people together and encourages genuine connections. Additional amenities will include multiple meeting rooms and a fitness center.

Handwritten Collection hotels are designed for curious travelers who seek authentic cultural experiences and meaningful connections. Lijiang’s rich heritage, framed by the stunning Jade Dragon Snow Mountain range and the historic towns of Shuhe, Dayan, and Baisha, offers a perfect setting for this vision.

As a UNESCO-protected area, Lijiang is committed to sustainable tourism and eco-conscious development, ensuring its natural beauty and cultural landmarks are preserved.
