Meliá Hotels International continues to strengthen its position as a leading employer brand, reaffirming its status as a Top Employer company. Thanks to its strong commitment to human resources and the demonstration of best practices in talent management, the hotel group has earned the Top Employer Enterprise certification for the first time, becoming one of only nine Spanish companies to achieve this recognition.
This prestigious certification underscores the alignment of the company's human resources practices across its key markets.
Meliá is now certified in 10 countries, covering more than 95% of its total workforce.
In addition to its previous certifications as a Top Employer 2024, the hotel group has added three new countries: the United Kingdom, Brazil, and the United States. Furthermore, the company has not only expanded its certifications by country, but has also achieved its first regional recognitions, establishing itself as one of the best employer brands across both Europe and North America.
This achievement marks a new milestone for the company. In its re-evaluation as a Top Employer, Meliá has excelled in several key areas: Business Strategy, demonstrating a clear and effective alignment with business objectives; Employee Listening, earning high marks for actively listening to its workforce; Employer Branding, showcasing a strong positioning strategy; and Talent Attraction, underlining the company's commitment to employability.
The comprehensive evaluation is conducted as part of the Top Employers Institute programme, which certifies leading international employers through an in-depth analysis of various Human Resources management criteria. In addition to the previously mentioned aspects, the evaluation also considers areas such as Training, Employee Engagement, Ethics & Integrity, Company Values, and Change Management.
