About Sharon Springs
Located approximately 3.5 hours by car from New York City, Sharon Springs, with its rich mineral water resources, has had a history of attracting visitors seeking therapeutic benefits. Hoshino Resorts' choice of this location aligns with the company's heritage in operating onsen ryokans. We aim to revive Sharon Springs’ mineral water legacy through presenting the onsen ryokan experience.
A Luxurious Onsen Experience
This property will be the first luxury accommodation in Sharon Springs, featuring up to 40 guest rooms and offering a true Japanese onsen ryokan experience, utilizing the mineral waters on site. Our goal is to provide a serene and restorative environment where guests can escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and immerse themselves in the beauty of Japanese hospitality.
About Hoshino Resorts
Hoshino Resorts was first established as a Japanese inn/ryokan in 1914 in Karuizawa in Nagano Prefecture before it began the operation of other resorts in Japan. Providing a unique experience focused on the local charms of each destination and a high level of omotenashi, Japanese-style hospitality, the company has expanded rapidly out of Karuizawa since 2001 and now operates more than 60 accommodations both in and outside Japan with one of the following categories: luxury hotel brand “HOSHINOYA,” hot spring ryokan brand “KAI,” countryside resort hotel brand “RISONARE,” city tourism hotel brand “OMO,” free-spirited hotel brand “BEB,” or other unique lodgings.
