The Balmoral, a Rocco Forte hotel in Edinburgh, has launched the ultimate Scottish adventure, exploring the country’s natural beauty, by land, loch and sky.

The once in a lifetime experience will include: a four night stay in Edinburgh’s most iconic hotel The Balmoral, the opportunity to visit the majestic Glamis Castle and Scone Palace, a day on board a luxury yacht to discover the famous Loch Lomond and the opportunity to explore Scotland by sky through a private helicopter ride.

The journey begins with a stay in The Balmoral’s Glamis Suite, named after Scotland’s most beautiful castle and the childhood home of The Queen Mother.

The Glamis Suite evokes the majesty of its namesake in every carefully chosen design detail. Large windows cast natural light upon the spacious salon, with its magnificent velvet sofas, tasteful antiques and original fireplace.

In honour of the breathtaking suite, this experience will include the opportunity to visit Glamis Castle located in Angus.

Guests will be picked up at The Balmoral in a luxury vehicle with a private driver and escorted to the historical landmark. On arrival, guests will be greeted by a pipers welcome before embarking on a private tour of the castle.

From Glamis Castle, the journey continues to the 12th Century Scone Palace, known as the Crowning Place of Scottish Kings, where guests will be taken on a private tour with exciting Scottish activities available to try such as kilt making masterclasses, mini Highland Games and a falconry display. Guests are invited to dine like royalty at Scone Palace’s ‘The Murray Room’ where they can have lunch overlooking the historic Parklands with views to the River Tay.

In the evening dine at The Balmoral’s fine dining restaurant Number One and enjoy a delicious seasonal seven course tasting menu paired with wines chosen by an expert sommelier.

The following day starts with a visit to Loch Lomond, the largest stretch of water in Britain and the loch which famously features in the song ‘The Bonnie Banks o’ Loch Lomond’.

A private yacht is waiting for guests to explore one of Scotland’s most famous lochs, enjoy water activities, refreshing champagne and a delicious seafood picnic hamper.

An optional final day is available for those who would like to explore Scotland by sky, with a luxury private helicopter tour beginning in Edinburgh and flying to the Isle of Skye.

On route, passengers will be able to see scenic views of the Highlands and famous spots such as Dunvegan Castle and the ‘Harry Potter train tracks’.

End the day flying back to Edinburgh where guests will spend their last night at The Balmoral’s Glamis Suite.

Scotland’s breathtaking scenery, stunning lochs, rolling hills and vibrant green landscape are weaved into The Balmoral’s structure.

The iconic Edinburgh hotel is a love letter to Scotland, with its bespoke Balmoral tartan, proudly displayed classic Scottish art, and its enchanting whisky bar, SCOTCH, dedicated to the country’s national drink.
