Ramsey, who holds degrees from the University of Surrey, City University London, and Cornell University in New York, brings two decades of experience in the premium hospitality industry and a passion for excellence in every aspect of the field.

He joins Anantara as one of the most highly respected managers in the Middle East, with a proven record of outstanding leadership.

Ramsey’s career began as a Management Trainee for the Jumeirah Group in 2004, where he quickly advanced from an introductory role as Guest Services Manager to becoming the Rooms Division Manager at Mina A’ Salam Hotel within six years.

At Sofitel Dubai Downtown, Ramsey ascended to the position of Executive Assistant Manager before achieving his first role as Hotel Manager at Sofitel Dubai The Palm Resort & Spa in 2019. Since January 2022, Ramsey has been driving success as the General Manager at Alwadi Hotel Doha – MGallery, in Qatar.

In his new role with Anantara, Ramsey will lead and oversee all strategies and operations for the soon-to-open Ras Al Khaimah resort within the destination’s Mina Al Arab luxury development.

Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort is scheduled to open in Q4 2023 when it will bring exceptional luxury to the UAE’s newest shoreline development with 174 guest rooms, suites, and overwater villas alongside speciality dining experiences and pioneering spa and wellness facilities.

The eco-friendly resort at the ocean’s edge will offer an elegant and enchanting Indian Ocean lifestyle on the shore of the Arabian Gulf.
