The Westin Langkawi Resort & Spa officially opens today on the idyllic island destination of Langkawi, Malaysia. Formerly the Sheraton Perdana Resort, The Westin Langkawi Resort & Spa is the first Westin resort in Malaysia. The resort underwent major upgrade works to its extensive facilities over the past year, including the addition of Westin signature products and services like the Heavenly Bed and Heavenly Spa, luxury residential villas as well as extensive meeting facilities.

The Westin Langkawi Resort & Spa joins the Sheraton Langkawi Beach Resort as the two Starwood properties on this island destination.
Nestled amongst 104 acres of lush tropical gardens, an expanse of open parkland and framed by jungle clad hills, The Westin Langkawi Resort & Spa provides comfort and friendly service with warm greetings from the lobby hosts and the well-known “Here & Now” Service Express where “one call does it all”.
The Westin features 202 newly refurbished rooms and suites, with 20 luxury Ocean View Pool Villas, boasting panoramic views of the Andaman Sea, woodlands and scenic tropical gardens. Focusing on personalized service and comfort for guests, all guestrooms and suites offer modern luxurious amenities inclusive of the iconic signature Heavenly Bed, Heavenly Rainshower/Bath, 42” plasma TV with satellite channels, and a DVD player with a surround sound system. High speed broadband internet access for both business and leisure travelers is available at the resort’s guest contact areas i.e. every guest rooms, all food & beverage outlets, lobby, Breeze lounge, the infinity pool area and all ballrooms.
Guests can wine and dine at Taste the new specialty theme-buffet restaurant. Taste offers a myriad of theme-buffet to whet any food aficionados’ appetite. Guests can also soak up the serene atmosphere from Breeze, with live entertainment music from the resident band – De Java’s, it’s a great place to slow down and soothe one’s mind to the rhythm of ballads. The Westin Langkawi Resort & Spa also offers ample state of the art events facilities. With 7 elegant, modern and spacious conference and banqueting suites, the resort’s meeting venues are suitable for business and social events such as corporate meetings, business seminars, cocktail parties, wedding, dinner and dance or even just a private gathering. The Westin Grand Ballroom can accommodate receptions for up to 400 guests, theatre style conferences for up to 400 guests and dinner and dance for up to 180.

Langkawi is located in the state of Kedah in the northern tip of Malaysia.
