Daniel joined Seabourn more than 11 years ago where he says he “restarted” his career as a bar waiter on board Seabourn Legend. He quickly rose through the ranks and was promoted to Hotel Director in 2010. He enjoys working with his fellow crew members to ensure that guests on board experience exceptional Seabourn Moments that won’t soon be forgotten.
Prior to joining Seabourn, Daniel began his career in hospitality on Lake Chiemsee in Germany. After learning the hotel business, he went to college to study business administration and continued his career working at various hotels, bars and restaurants. When he isn’t sailing with Seabourn, Daniel lives in Portugal with his wife and son.
We recently asked Daniel a few questions about his time with Seabourn and why he is excited to sail with Seabourn Encore:
1. What is the best part about your job?
The best part is that no day is the same and everyday one learns something new, meets interesting people and sees different places.
2. What are you most looking forward to about Seabourn Encore?
I am most excited to see how the stunning design comes together and how it looks and feels when finished.
3. What is your favorite port of call you've visited while working forSeabourn?
My favorite port of call is Stockholm. It is breath-taking to sail in and out of, and the city is very contemporary but yet full of history.
4. Our guests love to learn more about our crew; are there any fun facts about you that you would like to share?
I have visited more than 100 countries and have spent more than 2,600 days on our ships. I am also very lucky to be able to dine with our guests, as I truly enjoy the cuisine we are providing on board and meeting and talking with new people each night.
We look forward to having Daniel on board Seabourn Encore soon!
