Aqua Hotels & Resorts entered the Hawaii hotel scene in 2001
when hotelier Mike Paulin began offering a small, intimate hotel
experience with a strong focus on customer service. Within several years Aqua acquired newly renovated hotels and launched the Boutique Hotel concept in Waikiki, recognizing Waikiki’s urban resort roots through its “Beach Life, Urban Vibe” branding initiatives. This new hotel option in Waikiki quickly grew to become a favorite choice among travelers and Aqua soon became Hawaii’s leader in the boutique hotel market.
As Aqua expanded to the neighbor islands, it continued to garner recognition as the boutique hotel expert and introduced the Beach Boutique concept – a new idea featuring the intimacy of traditional boutique hotels within the leisure setting of a resort
destination.
Headquartered in Waikiki, Aqua is Hawaii’s first employee-owned hotel company since executing an Employee Stock Ownership Plan in 2008.
Celebration special for consumers: In celebration of this milestone event, residents and Hawaii-bound travelers were offered a $10 room special.
Consumers who book their stay of 3 or more nights at any of the 16 participating Aqua managed hotels and resorts on Oahu, Maui, Molokai and Kauai pay just $10 for their first night with additional nights at the Best Available Rates posted online at www.aquaresorts.com.
