Celebrates a Festive Holiday Season with La Bûche de Noël

This Christmas, Sofitel Luxury Hotels presents a series of French inspired holiday treats with “La Bûche de Noël,” a traditional French Christmas specialty dessert being shared with guests at Sofitel Luxury Hotels properties around the world.

Each Sofitel Luxury Hotels property is celebrating Christmas with a La Bûche de Noël specially created by each hotel’s special recipe. Sure to delight all tastes, the delicate log cake with Frangelico flavor and hazelnut butter cream, will be served at Sofitel Brisbane Central‘s Thyme 2 restaurant for dinner guests until 25 December. Sofitel Brisbane Central is putting a “hot” spin on the French tradition with celebrated dessert “La Buche Flambee,” and a La Bûche de Noël ritual will be hosted by the French pastry chef to set the festive flame.

Sofitel Wanda Beijing also portrays the French delicacy in a creative way. The 18-meter Christmas log cake, was shared among guests at the Christmas Lighting ceremony, where a stunning five-meter Christmas tree was lit up jointly by the children from Bethel Training Center for the Blind and Mr. Ian Alexandre, General Manager, illuminated the hotel with festive lights.

Apart from La Bûche de Noël, various Sofitel Luxury Hotels are also lighting up the festive season with bespoke Christmas lighting. Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi set up a 15-meter tall “Wishing Tree” decorated with red wishing cards containing the hopes and dreams of the local orphans is set up for guests to help making those dreams come true. The delightful display in the hotel’s elegant courtyard also features a 12-meter La Bûche de Noël .

The joy of this festive season is also lit up in Saigon. Sofitel Saigon Plaza celebrated the festive season with a Magnifique Christmas Lighting Ceremony on 8 December, enhanced by the sweet sounds of the Sofitel Ambassador Chorale group. The Magnifique Christmas tree, fashionably designed by the hotel creative team, is environmental friendly and features the latest in LED technology, promising a magical moment to all Sofitel Saigon Plaza’s guests.

Sofitel Luxury Hotels in Greater China also joins in on the festive season’s celebrations with glamorous decorations. Sofitel Macau At Ponte 16 has been turned into a winter wonderland with “Glitz and Glam,” showcasing the Christmas special ‘chandelier’ and the violet tone four-meter Christmas tree, creating the most dramatic backdrop for Christmas shots. A must-have item for Christmas, the Ginger Bread House, is available for guests to bring home, and replete French Christmas delights.

Festive culinary experience
Apart from La Bûche de Noël and Christmas decorations, various Sofitel Luxury Hotels across Asia Pacific are launching culinary extravagance to celebrate Christmas with their guests. The Garden Court restaurant at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth will be serving a sumptuous fresh Australian seafood buffet along with an array of wines, beers and soft drinks.

To add a cool and arctic twist to this festive season in the southern parts of the world, Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach has launched a elegantly ‘chilled’ party package, The Igloo Party Package, priced from US$143 per person, offers a refreshing change to its otherwise hot beachside surroundings and facilities, with additional overnight accommodation available from US$178 per room per night and an ‘Eskimo Buffet’ featuring seafood, gourmet salads, roast meats, desserts and a 4 hour beverage package.

For guests planning to spend this festive season with friends and family, the culinary offerings at Sofitel Melbourne On Collins are not to be missed. A group of nine or more people can enjoy an à la carte selection for US$74 per person for two courses, or US$98 per person for three courses. Alternatively, in the name of Christmas giving, a delicious shared platter for six or more people priced at US$65 per person for three courses is available.
