Dining reaches new heights at Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur with the debut of Casbah. This contemporary Arabian-style lounge steeped in the traditions of the Orient, is scheduled to open in December 2010. Casbah, which literally translates to “Castle or Palace”, will complement the adjacent Sultan Lounge.
Designed by award winning interior design company, the SWOT Design Group, and featuring opulent décor, comfortable sofas and soft mood lighting, Casbah will be an ideal place for informal social gatherings. The lounge will feature an extensive menu of inventive mezze and tapas, served in a fresh and contemporary style from the Eastern Mediterranean, North Africa and Spain.
Upbeat DJ lounge music with exotic Arabian sounds and rhythms will be available until the early hours, adding to the relaxed atmosphere. Casbah complements the chic and exotic Sultan Lounge perfectly, and allows patrons to move freely between both venues.
“We are delighted to bring this new and exciting dining and entertainment venue to Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur. Casbah’s menu is specially designed to encourage guests to share and experience a variety of dishes in an informal atmosphere,” said Pierre Barthes, General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur. “We look forward to introducing guests to this innovative dining concept”
